Now, you can play this shot with a sand wedge, but it's far easier to use a 60-degree wedge or a lob wedge. The extra loft on the club means you can play the shot with the face square to the target and eliminates the need for any adjustments to your address position to get the ball airborne. This shot takes a lot of practice, be sure to put in enough practice so that your confident when it comes time to make the shot.
